Movies From Easter Classics To Love
The Substack Transmissions #11
April just flew by like a comet in the sky, but I had a blast watching movies and planning the rest of the year. These were all of the movies I watched”:
The Ten Commandments 1956 was hosted on my channel for a watch party for Easter weekend. Seeing this movie year was a staple in my home growing up.
Prince of Egypt 1996 I watched this over on LRC’s channel, which always makes me cry. It’s mainly because of the beautiful music.
Charlotte’s Web 1973 was hosted on my channel for a watch party.
The Last Unicorn 1982 I watched this over on LRC’s Channel.
The Secret of Nihm 1982 I watched this over on LRC’s Channel. It was my first time viewing it and I loved it!!! I nearly lost my mind when I found out what “NIHM” was.
Lord of the Rings 2001 was hosted on my channel for a watch party.
The Hobbit 1977 I watched this over on LRC’s Channel.
I also watched the black and white movie, Love 1927, part of a Greta Garbo series I am doing on my channel with in depth conversations with Hollywood insider Kamran Pasha.
Are any of these your favorites? These are all on my list of favorites.
May promises to be just as exciting as I gear up for more watch parties, discussions and collaborations. In June I’ll be celebrating my 10 year anniversary event where I’ll be launching several projects, 4th of July, my birthday bash will be in August and so much more to come.
Behind the scenes, I am working on The Retro Nerd Girl Chronicles, which I am moving to a different platform. Then I will be launching a vampire romance story in October. Many movie reviews are scheduled for YouTube, Substack, X, and other spaces once they become available. More of them should be coming through May and June.
For now, I am cozying up to my viewport to the stars sipping on my galaxy coffee, feeling relaxed. April went well and this monthly reporting is working out so far. We are in cruise control as my rocket ship continues to traverse the retro verse.
Stay retro, stay nerdy!
With all my stars shine,
Retro Nerd Girl
